i worked for guinness in france and helped set up the first bar with a cold room in that country… very few pubs in europe even used mixed gas to serve guinness then, so the first pint of the day was 50% head and all the rest had no head at all

it’s a myth it doesn’t travel… it’s brewed in so many countries under strict quality control… the important thing is how it’s poured and that goes for loads of drink

the current situation is a bit funny… i’ve just laid off myself and all my staff but i know that i’ll find work and have found work in the past because i’m willing to work, i’m fit and i have a positive attitude… but for a lot of young people it is hard to find a decent job i spent 9 years on the road (in greece, spain, france, israel, thialand, india, chile etc) before i had kids … if i didn’t have kids to provide for now i’d have no hesitation in getting out there and surviving but education is the one… freedom on the road is easy if you believe in tomorrow

my own health is average and manageable now i know what the problem is (nothing to do with party lifestyle) but the health of one of my kids and one of my parents is not so good and that’s difficult

sorry to hear about your losses… each must have come as a shock

i can’t say that party lifestyle played a part in any of the crap that’s landed on my plate the last year and a half… i just haven’t had the will to go out and get my mojo on display recently and now i’ve found other ways of fulfilling myself i feel out of place if i go rave … but now the sun is shining i’m checking out a couple of vans, something to live in so i can rent out the house i bought to renovate to cover the mortgage until the dark forces are defeated and i can find work that makes use of my skills again… i need a truck big enough and a site friendly and safe enough that my kids can still live with me half the week

i need a financial respite for a short while as i’m close to making some real money … but close is no biscuit… we’ll see… the ability to adapt to change is the recipe for success

what are TT up to in EA? would be interested to hear some examples 🙂

but for really good friend chicken…

season chicken breast then coat with flour
fry both sides until cooked through and well browned on both sides
take the chicken out and set it aside
chuck some crushed garlic, thyme and white wine vinegar in the hot pan and stir it to loosen what’s stuck to the bottom
add a cup of chicken stock, turn up the heat and boil rapidly until the liquid is reduced to about a quarter of a cup
pour it over the chicken and serve it up

one of the reasons they are going on strike is that even if the posties have a full time contract they can be sent home on no pay if there isn’t enough business. jnot many people can afford to keep a job where on any given week you might only take home 60% of what you expected to earn… leaving you having to choose between paying your mortgage or feeding your family.

another reason is the threat of pension cuts. if you reached 2 years before your retirement and you only pension was going to come from your employer, but suddenly it was going to be cut, leaving you without enough money to live on, you would be pissed off too.

I think the strike should be supported. it’s taken generations of people fighting to get fair conditions from their employers. seems some people on here would happily just hand all that back and be treated like dirt by their employers again

i’ve tried them in some hefty quantities and would rate them alongside dexies

the effect i get is awake and friendly and that is it

i can’t understand how people compare any of these to MDMA… which gives me massive body rushes, lets me work through any mental or emotional turmoil with friends and loved ones, makes me feel like i’ve passed from the physical plane into a dimension of pure love and the next day leaves me feeling warm, close to people and very very happy…

whereas the megadromes make me feel like i have enough energy to sit around all night and then feel shit the next day…. am i allergic or is everyone overhyping a cheap speed because they have no integrity about what they consume?
